So What's a Woman to Do?

When life intervenes and messes up your schedule or annihilates your task list or shreds your plans ...

What's a Woman to Do?

...

...

...

Just go with the flow baby, jump in that inner tube and float ...
it's not like you're in control right now anyway !

There are times in our lives that we just need to stop fighting. There will be seasons short or long where our focus will be changed from what we would have it on.  I'm currently in one.  I find myself chomping at the bit wanting to head in a specific direction but I CAN'T GET THERE FROM HERE !

My focus has been so much on my preferred destination, the journey there and the priorities that will have to change that I've been forgetting to deal with and take care of my current priorities.

So, LIFE has gotten in my way lately.  Not long after last weeks post I sneezed and it changed my life.  NO, I'm not being a drama queen.  It's actually true !  I sneezed and messed up my back.  I've spent the last week on muscle relaxants, pain killers and med's to reduce inflammation.  I've also spent a large portion of it on my back.  The x-rays haven't been done yet but there is every reason to believe that I slipped/ruptured a disc in my lower back.

So What's a Woman to Do?

Well, I've dealt with being frustrated and aggravated... I've pouted and cried... but now, I'm just going to enjoy the ride.  I know it's crazy but I'm not in control of this, am I?  My back will heal on it's own time, not on mine.  If I don't let go and take the necessary rest I can make matters so much worse.  God is still in control.  My little back issue hasn't freaked him out.  He didn't fall off his throne because of me.  So, if he's still in control then I can trust that while I'm taking the rest I need that He will direct the currents so I end up where I need to be when this season of rest is over.

So What's a Woman to Do?

Let go (of control) and trust God!
